Internationalising Higher Education: Speech by Geoffrey Copland, Vice Chancellor, University of Westminster
This speech by Geoffrey Copland given on 22 March at Neil Stewart Associates’ 4th International Student Conference at the Barbican, entitled Staying Competitive in the Global Market, discusses the requirements for maintaining the UKs competitive edge in an international market of fast rising standards. Accepting the cultural and historical benefits many UK institutions have “enjoyed” in the past, Dr Copland calls for UK Higher Education Institutions to avoid complacency and ensure the UK provides world-leading integrated higher education to students from anywhere in the world.
