Keith Herrmann

Keith Herrmann, Deputy Chief Executive, CIHE
Keith Herrmann is Deputy Chief Executive at the Council for Industry and Higher Education (CIHE) where he is responsible for research, organisational strategy, corporate governance and stakeholder engagement. He also leads research in entrepreneurship education, leadership and management in higher education, innovation, career IAG and STEM education. He has worked on a number of policy related projects centred on informing government policy on using public procurement to stimulate innovation, graduate employability and developing entrepreneurial graduates.
He is currently working on projects about the future funding for the Higher Education sector and improving the effectiveness of the HE sector. He also leads the CIHE Policy Forum where Council members and leading stakeholders meet to discuss key policy issues affecting higher education and business.
Keith was previously Director of Programmes for Small Enterprise Development at Durham University Business School where he specialised in entrepreneurship education, economic policy research, management development, leadership and knowledge transfer programmes with SMEs. He has also worked internationally on the impact of regulation and government policy on small businesses.
