Alan Jenkins, Managing Director, Kaplan Open Learning
Alan Jenkins was appointed Managing Director of Kaplan Open Learning in 2007 with the aim of transforming the UK distance learning market to offer quality, wholly online higher education to working adults. Kaplan plan to replicate the success enjoyed with the US based Kaplan University where we train over 50,000 students online by adapting the US model into a UK context.
Prior to launching Kaplan Open Learning Alan was a director at Kaplan Professional in various roles including CFO and Regional Operations Director and has extensive experience in a range of education sectors including professional training, CPD, vocational and higher education delivered online, blended, campus and distance learning.
Alan is a chartered accountant and a passionate advocate of widening access to education.
